25 Years of Medical Insight, Now Focused on You

I am an I-ACT certified, NBCHT credentialed colon hydrotherapist, and my journey into this work began with my own experience of the benefits of hydrotherapy — and a deep desire to help others feel better in their bodies. My background is in medical science. I started my career working in hospital laboratories as a phlebotomist and medical technologist. My fascination with human anatomy and physiology led me to earn a Master of Health Science degree from Quinnipiac University in 1997. For almost 25 years, I’ve worked as a pathologists’ assistant here in Connecticut. It’s been a privilege to explore the complexity and elegance of the human body from such a unique perspective — an experience that continues to inform my approach to care. I completed the I-ACT Professional Colon Hydrotherapy Course under the caring supervision of Darlene Holloway, a colon hydrotherapist and naturopathic physician with over 40 years of experience in hydrotherapy. I have been further mentored by Connie Jones, a local leader in the field, who practiced in MA and CT for many years. I’m committed to providing a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space for every client. Whether you’re new to hydrotherapy or looking to deepen your wellness journey, I’m here to help you feel at ease and empowered.

Frequently Asked Questions

A small amount of warmed, filtered water is introduced into the colon, gently stimulating natural peristaltic action to release softened waste. This cycle is repeated several times during a session. If discomfort is experienced, the session can be stopped at any time.

No. There are specific contraindications with colon hydrotherapy. Before the initial session, the client will complete a medical history form for review by our supervising naturopathic doctor. The client should also check with their health care practitioner if they have any concerns.

Modern colon irrigation devices are manufactured under strict federal guidelines and are compliant with FDA standards. Pressure and temperature are monitored throughout the session and valves prevent back flow. We use a closed-system device with disposable, single use speculums and tubing. The device is disinfected after the session.

The number of hydrotherapy sessions depend on the objectives and goals of the individual. In the beginning, it is recommended to have three sessions within a short period of time. This allows for the client to become comfortable with the procedure. After the initial sessions, a maintenance plan can be determined, if needed.

During the session, the client will have a gown to ensure modesty and the lower half of the body will be covered with a sheet. Your dignity is always respected.
A "closed system" device is used, so the waste is contained within tubing and there is no odor.
